Have you seen my mojo?

If you find it, please return it ASAP, cause I need it!! Not sure what happened this week, Halloween overload or the fact that I'm waiting for a bunch of new stuff to come in, but I sure wasn't feeling it. Not like I don't have enough stuff already, but there's nothing like the thrill of a new stamp to get you creating!
On to more important stuff, like this week's Fab N Funky challenge. There was lots of amazing Halloween craftiness last week, so let's take it down a notch this week and go for some:
Clean and Simple
That's right, sometimes less is more. A little bit of embossing, a couple of buttons and volia - a simple card that only took me 2 nights to create! So let's see what simple goodness you can come up with this week!
Geez, almost forgot - Doodle Dragon is sponsoring this week's challenge!

Pretty peacock

Super quick post - somehow I always end up writing these late at night! I made this card for a co-worker's birthday and I hope she likes it.
The peacock stamp is from CTMH, and I got the idea of embossing and inking it from a fabulous CTMH consultant named Tresa Black. If you haven't visited her blog, go now, cause she does some amazing stuff! Mine is no where near as good as hers, but itstill turned out really pretty.
Colours - Curtain Call
Use ribbon - Stampin Royalty
Embossing - Heart 2 Heart
Use Ink - Stamping with the Dragon
Celebrate - Wee memories

Things that go bump in the night!

"Things that go bump in the night"

Halloween must be just around the corner, because there's a bushel of "Spooky" challenges this week, including Fab N Funky! We're looking for the creepiest, crawliest, spookiest creations this week and mine, well, maybe that vampire is a bit on the cute side, but hey, it's Halloween!
I could't help but make another card with this set from There She Goes, and really, the opportunity to use the phrase "you suck" on a card doesn't come up every day!
So lets see what cute and creepy cards you can come up with!
Sketch - Everything but the Kitchen Sink
Colours - There She Goes
Halloween - Stamp Something, Cuttlebug Spot, Pile It On, Frosted Designs, Fussy and Fancy, the Crazy challenge, By the Cute And Girly
Fall - Crazy 4 Challenges

Almost forgot - Bingo at Allsorts (bottom row, punch, tag and ribbon)

Crooked Ribbon

Why do we see every little teeny imperfection in our own work while overlooking the faults of others? I don't know, but all I could think about when I finished this card was how the ribbon was crooked. Ugh. Next time, more paying attention, less yakking!
Got a laundry list (hee hee) of challenges, here they are:
Sketch - Sweet Sunday
Colours/recipe - There She Goes
Use punches - Stamp Something
In 3's - Pile It On, Papertake
Birthday - Crazy 4 challenges
Songtitle - Allsorts ("Stuck in the middle with you" by Stealers Wheels and if you've seen the Hanes add, you'll know what I'm talking about!)
Anything Goes - Craftalicious
Girls/pink - Raise the Bar (not sure if this counts, it's not a girl, but girl's undies?)
Recipe - Lollipop Crafts (not sure about this one either, I have 3 embellies, 2 stamps, maybe more than one paper? How bout we call it 1 main paper?)

Yummy, Yummy, Yummy

It's challenge #44 over at Fab N Funky and this weeks theme is Yummy Yummy Yummy! That's good, as food is one of my favourite things (which you could probably tell if you could see my hips, hee hee!) These fun stamps from Elzybells crack me up - so much like my real life! Only a couple of challenges today, as I made this cards in the wilds of North Bay, with no internet access, not even dial up. (eek!) DH is working on rectifying the problem, so hopefully by Christmas, we should be surfing the net at my MIL's.
Almost forgot - this weeks challenge is sponsored by Stitchy Bear, so head on over and check them out!

Anything goes - Craftalicious
Monochromatic - Drunken stampers
In 3's - Pile It On, Papertake

Pigs are flying!

Two posts in one night, I amaze myself! This card actually came together very quick, I pulled out my new stamps from There She Goes and went to work. I don't usually make Halloween card, but I've got a girlfriend whose birthday falls at the end of October. Besides, how could I not ink this up?
Colours - Color Q
Fave Colours - Color Chef
Celebrate - Stamp Something (this is actually a birthday card!)
Cutie Patootie - Papertake (I think these mummies are just the cutest ever!)

Fab N Funky - Use a Digi

Well, this should be an easy one as there's hundreds and hundreds of digis floating around the web! I went with a cute one from Softpencil, this week's sponsor. Promise you won't look too closely at her belt (obi?), as it was late, I was tired and I didn't do a great job of the finicky bits! (should've put liquid glass on her hair too, it look grey!)
Sketch - JUGS
colours - There she goes
Anything Goes - Pollycraft
Books - Frosted Designs (Memoirs of a Geisha, love that book!)
Celebrate - Stamp Something, Heart 2 Heart
Digi - Papertake (choose your challenge, I picked November 2009)

This second card I made for a co-worker for her 12 year old grandaughter, who is a huge Taylor Swift fan. Not being a Taylor fan myself and seeming as 12 was a looong way back, I was a bit stumped. I ended up taking some inspiration from one of her album covers, and put some of the lyrics inside. My co-worker loved it, hopefully the 12 year old will too!
