Anything goes and a DT call

Whew, it's a busy week here at Fab N Funky. We've lost a few members of the DT (Who will be sorely missed!) and we're looking for a few good crafters to take their place and help out. If you think you'd like to give it a whirl, the insructions are on the Fab N Funky blog. We're also looking for a few guest DT, so if a full time gig isn't for you, you can still take part!

Onto the challenge, an easy one for everyone - Anything Goes!

Let see your craftiest, blingiest, floweriest, bestest creations and lots of applicants for the DT.
Get crafting!

A few challenges:
Pets - The Crazy Challenge (I haven't figured out what a mermaid needs with a cat, buy hey, it's a pet!)
Sketch - Sweet Sunday
Sparkle -Pear Tree
Song inspired - Lollipop Crafts ("Under the Sea" from the Little Mermaid, love that song!)
Animals - Do You Stack Up? (If you're a glutton for punishment, they've got a DT call too!)
Father's Day, manly, for men - Polka Doodles, Lexi's Creations, Here Come the Boys (not sure if it's weird, but my Dad likes mermaids, so this is what he's getting!)

PS - Does anyone know how to keep your Copics from 'dripping'? I tend to start with the lighter colours and my blue ink blobbed onto her belly button (you can see it if you look close) - I was almost done and didn't want to start over. Maybe I should've given her a belly button ring? hee hee!

Sketch Time again!

Another great sketch this week from Stamp Fairy, Gerda always does great sketches. (I may have said that before...)

We just got a printer, finally, so I've been playing around a lot. I found a great card done with coloured pencils on a darker background, so I printed Linda Fairy right on my cardstock. That's why my card is all curled up, lesson learned! Lesson 2 is that the solvent I normally use for blending pulled too much colour up - I will have to go out and get a blending pencil and try again.
We've been away 2 weekends in a row, so my crafty time has been seriously compromised - I took my Copics to the campground with me this weekend - I figured if it was rainy, I could sit in the trailer and colour! It was very buggy though, and I ended up spending more time swatting that stamping!

Challenges entered:
Sentiment - Stamp Something
Sparkle - Fun With Shapes
Baby - Creative Corner
Winged Things - Allsorts
Clean and Simple - Saturday Challenge
Sprinkles - Pile It On (a sprinkle of fairy dust!)
Magic - Drunken Stampers
One for the Girls - Divas by Design
Pink and Girly - Totally Papercrafts
Anything Goes - Creative Card Crew, 2 Sisters

That's what you're gonna say when you see our challenge this week at Fab N Funky!

Cute and Cuddly, Awww!

We want to see the most disgustingly cute stamps you have, so colour 'em up and let's see 'em! Be sure to check out the rest of the Fab N Funky team, they've got some super cute stuff to show you.

I went with a Lily of the Valley image, I just got my first order, so of course I've been dying to ink them up. Since the image coloured up so great, I made a white card to feature it on, it just makes the colours pop! I generally avoid white anything with 2 boys in the house, but I love this card so much I'm going to have to do more.

If I missed commenting on anyone this week I'm sorry, the internet at my Mum's this weekend was very unreliable. To top it off, my husband was fiddling around with the modem (men!) and I realized after I published my post that I posted it to the wrong blog! Time to go to bed! Have a good week everyone! PS - Hey Blogger, thanks for putting my comments back, I hope everyone else got their posts/comments back too!

Challenges -
Bingo - Pollycraft (lace, flower, button - it's a lace flower!)
Inspiration photo - Stampin Celebration (flowers)
Pop It Up - Paper Sundaes (sentiment is popped)
Colour scheme - Do You Stack Up?

Clean and Simple - If the Shoe Fits

It's my party!

It's party time at Stamp Fairy and we want to see your party worthy cards - and balloons! I used this fun Lenny Cupcakes stamp cause they're ready to party. I was playing around with the bright paper and found my image getting a bit lost, so I ended up just highlighting parts of the image. Not sure if you can tell, but I also used Liquid Glass to add some shine. I love this cute SU banner stamp, now all they need is a punch cause they're a pain to cut out!

I'm having a real hard time with my parents internet, I'm not sure if I'll get any challenges loaded up, right now I can't even add a link!

Fabulous flowers

Oh so many wonderful flowers out there, so that's the challenge this week at Fab n Funky. But not just flowers, no way - handmade flowers. I headed to Brenda Frerichs blog, she has a ton of great ideas for flowers using simple punches. I love how mine turned out and I'm loving this little fairy from Paper Makeup Stamps, our sponsor this week. I added a bunch of glitter to her wings and to the cake, not sure if you can tell from the pic.

Sketch - Sweet Sunday (well, that where I started anyway!)
Pink - Stamptacular Sunday
Spots or Stripes - Lexi's Creations
Green/pink - The Crazy Challenge
Birthdays - Paper Sundaes
Cutie Patootie - Craft Your Passion
Menu Choice - Polka Doodles (Pink, fairy, pearls)

3 of a kind

Not such a good idea to totally forget what the DT challenge is until after you've made the card - I had a couple of moments of complete and utter panic before I realized I could pop some buttons on. And here I was congratulating myself on being so organized - I have next week's cards all done and ready as I'll be away!
For those of you slightly more organized than me, the challenge at Stamp Fairy this week is:
3 of a kind
Three buttons, 3 stickers, let see three of something on your card and hopefully not as an afterthought! I do like how the card turned out, I love these little peekers bears, so cute!

A few challenges:
Anything Goes - Stamp Something
Sketch - Fussy and Fancy
Congrats - Fun With Shapes
Teddy Bears Picnic - Allsorts (maybe he's looking reflective cause he didn't get to go to the picnic?)
Birthday - Crafty Ann's
Ribbon/twine - Frosted Designs
Monochromatic neutrals with a twist - Our Creative Corner (I'm sorry, I just couldn't work the lace in!)

Glad you're back Blogspot, but where did you put all my comments? And can you please put them back? Sigh. I shouldn't complain too much, the whole blog could've disappeared into the cloud never to be seen again. Very glad to see most of my blog present and accounted for!

A quick card for a few challenges, this card is for a girlfriend who recently moved. I used the cute 'Beary Busy' set from CTMH and a image from SU. Love how these 2 sets go together!
Sketch - 365 Cards
Colours - Color Q
Houses - Little Red Wagon (mine's on the inside, does that count?)
Kraft - Spotted Chick
Anything Goes - Crafty Creations, Penny's Challenge

Paper Sundaes DT call

Ok, I've been hemming and hawing over this one - on the one hand, I was planning on keeping the DT commitments light over the summer. On the other hand, I like Paper Sundaes, they have great challenges and I play along quite a bit. So, totally last minute, here I go again...

Let me just say it is sooo hard to choose my fave cards to enter a DT call, I can only imagine how hard it is to pick the DT! But here's a few of my fave's:

This first one is a layout I just loove. It's my friend's little girl and this page will be the title page for her baby album. Cute huh?

This card I made for the a blog hop, I wanted to do something really fun and cheerful and I love how it turned out.

This last card I made a while back, and it's one of those one's where everything just works out, from the design to the execution. Love it so much I haven't given it away yet, can't decide who's worthy of it, hee hee!

Thanks for the opportunity, I've got my fingers crossed!

Ribbons and bows

It's an easy challenge at Fab n Funky this week - ribbons and bows, so I expect to see lots of entries! Get out your ribbon (you know you have too much of it!), get out your buttons and play! Our sponsor at FnF this week is Pink Petticoat, and I was very excited to spot Henrietta in the 'retiring' section - I've been meaning to grab her for a while, but British pounds are still a bit spendy.
I whipped up a card for my Mum, hopefully she'll love this little hippo as much as I do!

A few other challenges:
Sketch - CPS
Anything Goes - The Crazy Challenge, Catch the Bug Challenge
Friendship - Lexi's Creations
Buttons and Bows - The Kraft Journal (and, yes, I know mine isn't exactly a bow, but it's close!)
Inspiration photo - There She Goes
Recipe - The Catered Crop (yellow, polka dots and ribbon)
Funny Bone - Pile It On

Stamp Fairy Sketch Time

Whew, the hop was a hoot, but it's back to my regularly scheduled programming now! If you are still hopping, just scroll down for my There She Goes MOABH post. This week's challenge at Stamp Fairy is a fun sketch:

I altered it lightly, using just 4 background squares instead of 6, but otherwise followed closely. I coloured up Lenny and Linda wedding for an anniversary card for a friend, cute huh? Keeping this short tonight, 2 late night blog posts in a row = not so good typing, thank goodness for spellcheck!

Flowers - Raise The Bar, Crazy 4 Challenges
Bears - Crafty Calender
Digi Day - Stamp Something
Mists - Paper Variety (I used a gold Smooch to add a little sparkle to my card)

Mother of all Bloghop time!

MOABH Participant Blinkie

I'm so excited, eek! I just love There She Goes stamps, and I get to be part of the blog hop, yea! (Please note that I'm writing this at 11:30pm after waaay to much caffeine, so if I overdo it on the exclamation points, I cannot be held responsible!)

This is the 2nd annual Mother of All Blog Hops sponsored by There She Goes Clears Stamps. You should have arrived here from Piali's awesome blog, but if you didn't, just jump back to the There She Goes team blog in order to find out what you need to do to be eligible for the prizes on offer!

So without further ado, here's my card:

I chose the 'Domestic Goddess' stamp set, it never fails to make me laugh. I also used elements from the 'A Woman's Place' set to help make my scene. As always, I'm totally inspired by Corinna McGregor's work. She did a great stair step card with the Out of this World set, so I had to make one of my own. I loved setting the scene with this card, now I just have to figure out who to give it to!

Next up on the hop is Lisa, so head on over there to continue the hop! Happy Mother's Day and thanks for stopping by!

Creative ways with cardstock

Hmm, I thought this week's Fab n Funky challenge would be fairly easy, but I think I misjudged how much I rely on patterned paper! The challenge is:

No DP!

Put away all the lovely stripes, polka dots and florals and create a project with no patterns! The DT have put up lots of lovely creations to inspire you, so let's see what you can do!
This week's challenges were all over the map, but I did manage to find a few anythings goes, yea!
Anything goes - Craft Your Passion, By The Cute and Girly, Pollycraft, Peartree
May flowers - Stampin with the Dragon
Pop it up (3D) - Do You Stack Up?

Tiny glass beads + late night crafting = mess!

This week's challenge at Stamp Fairy was interesting - a shaker card. Hmmm, haven't made anything like that in a while. How hard could it be? Turns out, trying to make a shaker card with glass beads at 11:00 at night is not a good idea. Everything was going well until I added the base to the shaker section - as I turned it, a stream of beads came pouring out since I hadn't completely sealed my box. This is when I realized that the tiny glass beads were now stuck to my adhesive and I couldn't seal the box. What to do? It's late, I'm tired, hey, I can use Liquid Glass! Half an hour later, everything is dry, the box is sealed and I have an unsightly line of glue showing. Hence the ruffled ribbon. This in turn covered up my stamped sentiment, leading to a pop dotted version and a determination not to leave things till the last minute anymore!!!

Despite all that, it turned out very cute and I'm quite happy with the results. Check out the challenge blog to see the shaker box creations of the DT - they're really amazing this week and then try your own!
