Can you believe I've had this sweet Penny Black bunny in my stash for ages and never used it? While looking for bunny images, I found this one and had to colour him up. Paired it with some ribbon and some Bo Bunny Ambrosia paper for this card. (I am not loving the paper, too darn flowery for me. That's maybe why this card is a wee bit overdue!)
I can't believe it's Easter already, March has just flown by. It's always fun when Easter falls in April as both my sister's and my birthdays fall the same time. Cake and chocolate bunnies, how much better can life get?
Oh and the challenge at Fab N Funky this week is Easter, hence the bunny!

So I actually got these cuties a while back, coloured one up right away, made a card and then promptly forgot about it. I actually have a few cards I haven't shared yet, one a failed publication attempt and another one a sample I made for my retreat. If I get my butt in gear, I will try and share them this week.
The image is one of a line from Crafter's Companion called 'Strawberry Kisses". I just love this pooches' smug, satisfied look - like my dog after she's snatched something yummy off the table! The papers are MME and the ticket is a Whimsy stamp/die.

Despite the fact that my Mum is English (even though she's spent many years in Canada!) I don't celebrate Mothering Sunday, just Mother's day. But the challenge at Fab N Funky this week is honour your Mum, so maybe I'll just toss this in the mail and surprise her!
I whipped up a quick card this week with these sweet sheep (say that 10 times fast!) from our sponsor, Doodle Pantry. Cute, huh? I was torn between the Doodle birdies and the sheep - arg, sheep won this time!
We've got some gorgeous hot weather here - very unusual for March. Somewhat ironic though, as the AC in my car crapped out but I'm still driving around on my snow tires! Hope you're all getting some beautiful spring weather too, where ever you are!

Welcome to a new Challenge at Pile It On, and it's fun one this week - Up In the Air! This gives you lots of room for interpretation. I used this cute rocket digi from our sponsor, Jellypark. I always need to have a stash of boy cards on hand with 2 boys of my own. You never know when they're going to get invited to a birthday!
I think I'm mostly over the mojo shortage, luckily it was a short one! One package of goodies came Thursday night just as we were leaving for the weekend (sigh...) and while the other isn't here yet, I'm sure it will be soon. I brought my markers with me so I could sit and colour, brought a block, ink, scrubber and stamps - forgot the paper to stamp on! Hee hee, guess I'll just have to make do with blog surfing this weekend!

Or trying to anyway. Figured that even though my new stuff is not here yet (gah, I wish Canada Post would stop promising delivery dates they can't come through on.) I would get my butt in gear and make something cute. I wanted to play along with the MME sketch, so I pulled out the Fine and Dandy papers and went to town.
Love these little owls so much I actually have the big (12x12) and the little (6x6) of the these papers and embellishments! I'm thinking now I should have lowered the owl so the banner covered the edge of the label but I'm not ripping it apart at this point. Well maybe...aarg.

Yup, not feeling very crafty here. This card is the result of 2 hours worth of playing and fussing and swearing and finally tossing. After all that, I whipped up this card in 5 minutes, and while I don't love it, I don't hate it either! I do love the giant sparkly clover and the clean and simple design. The other card? Let's just say it will not be on the blog. Ever.
Do you ever lose you mojo while waiting for new crafty goodies to arrive? Suddenly, nothing you have is good enough and you just can't wait for the new stuff. Sigh... and it's still not here. Of course, the fact that I busted my Cuttlebug didn't help either. There was an almighty bang, the end popped off and a large crack appeared in the inner workings. Luckily, nothing a trip to WalMart and an infusion of cash can't fix!

OK, so maybe no brick roads, but lots of yellow at Fab N Funky this week. That's the challenge 'Mellow Yellow and/or daffodils'. We're quite aways from seeing daffs here yet, but I can dream!
I went for a CAS card again, and pulled out a set I don't think I've actually inked up. (the horror!) This cute TSG set was is so sweet, I don't know what's wrong with me. (Oh wait, too many stamps, not enough hours in the day!) Anyway, I think it turned out neat, although it is hard to see the edges of the card in the photo.
A few challenges:

Whew, we've gone from the lion to the lamb pretty quickly here, although it is super windy today. The snow is melting fast and I'll be pulling my flip flops out soon! A fun and easy challenge at Pile It On this week:
Spots and or stripesTechnically, the piece behind the chick is a striped chevron design, but you can't really see it, so i'm not sure it counts. However, I got lots of dots in so I should be good! I am still working on mixing my love of clean and simple with my addiction to paper - what do you think? The flower is made from tissue paper and turned out great, you just stack up a bunch of tissue paper circles and scrunch!
